Top Form – กอดกันมั้ย นายตัวท็อป
Having a gay romance in the ruthless drama industry is at least as hard as proving yourself in acting. Now let’s give a brief plot summary of the drama we put at the very top of the 2025 Thai BL Series list. You decide whether to watch it or not.
The manga adaptation BL series, with the original title กอดกันมั้ย นายตัวท็อป, follows actor Akin, who no longer has his former fame, doing everything he can to maintain his reputation and not lose it to anyone. For his new drama project, he comes across a rookie actor, Jin. Akin, who is quite arrogant and rude, practically gives his new co-star no right to live. He both looks down on him and sees him as a rival. Both actors are actually slaves to the acting world and the industry.
They hide the chaos in their inner worlds from everyone. Meanwhile, as a result of the romance rumors starting between the duo, the producers react harshly. Will the winner be love, professional acting, or the ruthlessness of the industry?

Knock Out – หมัดน็อกล็อกหัวใจ
Knock Out (2025) is a Thai BL series adapted from a novel. If you want to do some research before watching this 12-episode drama (a WeTV original production), you are in the right place. What does this drama promise you? The series promises primarily romance, followed by suspense and character dynamics fluctuating within indecisions.
Do not expect 100% originality. You will also see plenty of cliché BL formulas. If you like the boys’ love theme intertwined with tension, I don’t think you’ll care much about the clichés. Alongside boxing and revenge themes, you will also journey into the inner worlds of the main characters as a viewer.
Keen’s life, whose father died in a tragic accident, is ruined by a phone call he receives. On the eve of starting a new job with his persuasive, sweet-talking, resourceful, and stubborn identity, the unfortunate event he experiences is powerful enough to change the direction of his life. Keen has to spend a large part of his savings on his father’s funeral expenses.
Meanwhile, the notorious loan shark his father owes money to will want to take all of Keen’s savings at the funeral and collect his debts. At this point, Keen’s life enters a new era. Uncle Phet, his father’s friend and the owner of a boxing club, takes him under his wing. He will take refuge in the boxing club to hide from the debtors. Let me state immediately that the “debt” and “loan shark” theme is quite a cliché; we encounter it in almost all BL productions of this genre. Let’s continue.
During this time, he meets Than, the protector of his vulnerable and wounded heart. Than is someone who stays away from people with his cold demeanor and does not participate in boxing matches. It is as if he doesn’t exist in the boxing club. The resentments and fights he experienced in his past have made him flee from people and himself. Keen has to convince Than to enter matches to earn money. Thus, he will pay his father’s debt to the loan shark and increase the reputation of the boxing gym.
As the big match approaches, Thun’s repressed fears about his past surface. His deepest conflict about himself—the inability to express himself both in the ring and in his relationships—also threatens his bond with Keen. Exactly at this point, Thun’s fragile side becomes visible. Keen’s silence and emotional withdrawal trigger the fear of abandonment in Thun.
What happens in the finale? The duo learns not only love but also how to overcome their past traumas and gain self-confidence. The relationship between Thun and Keen goes beyond competition. They realize they are not rivals to each other, and they begin to heal together. The story emphasizes that emotional courage is as much of a struggle as boxing.
Than actually has a traumatic past at least as much as Keen. He will also undergo a transformation throughout the series. Now I will end the synopsis and move on to the review. It is not very deep, but it will be sufficient.
The tense atmosphere between the duo gradually gives way to a romantic tension. Exactly at this point, the BL romance kicks in. The duo begins to get emotionally closer to each other. However, Than’s past, his previous mysterious relationships, and the boxing bettors somehow prevent the relationship from starting. Keen seems to be using Than to make money. The tension and subsequent alliance between the two progress quite well.
The suspense and crime-themed BL series will offer you a love story born amidst difficulties and contentions. You will also go on a journey in the inner world of the characters. However, if you are looking for a university and youth-themed BL romance from start to finish, this series is not for you.
Viewers who like boxing, sports, and struggle themes will get an average viewing pleasure. The acting and the reverse chemistry of the characters are good. But the boxing and sports themes are unsuccessful as usual. I can say it is more of a BL focused on love and psychological healing. You will watch a slow-burn relationship.
I must not forget the mafia conflicts and betting gangs in the series. The relationship between Than and Typhoon, whom he had a relationship with before and separated from somehow, and whom he doesn’t even see as a rival while preparing for the final match, also adds curiosity and mystery to the series.
Will Than, who has lost his heart to Keen on one hand, end his reckoning with Typhoon, with whom it is clear there is an emotional connection, on the other? Also, why did Than feel the need to leave his home and hide? This is one of the questions that will find its answer in the long-running series. Where will the bets and matches take the togetherness of the Than – Keen couple? The viewer will watch with curiosity. It can be said that the series is in a separate position from the familiar and now-cliché Thai BL productions with youth, school, and workplace themes.
Is the Series Worth Watching?
Yes, it is. For the viewer who is bored with cliché school and youth BL series, psychological suspense and romance are presented together with crime themes. You might also find the love triangle theme in the series a bit exaggerated and forced. You will come to the conclusion that overly dramatic scenes are also unnecessary. You might also prefer a fun romantic comedy and youth BL series.
Memoir of Rati – จาฤกรติชา
Memoir of Rati, a historical period drama among the 2025 Thai BL Series, tells a BL story blossoming in an environment where war and insecurity roam. Being gay had never been this hard.
World War II has begun. During the war that burns European countries to ashes, the French ambassador comes to Thailand to ask for their support. But Thailand, a country far from the war, and its administrators are cautious. The ambassador’s stepchild, Rati, was born in Thailand and was given up for adoption as a baby. His mother is a maid, and his father’s side is noble. His family and uncle rejected the young man.
Meanwhile, the young diplomat, who is obliged to stay in the country for 1 year, meets Count Theerathon here. Theerathon, who has rumors spreading about him being gay, meets Rati. You will watch the challenging relationship process maintained by Thee, who already has a reputation, with Rati, who has a gay identity like himself, in an era where being gay is a crime.

The Boy Next World – คนละกาลเวลา
he Boy Next World is a 2025 Thai BL series. Its plot: through consciousness transfer between parallel universes, Cir finds himself in a new universe. But here, he has to win his lover back all over again.
This BL series is a sweet watch for viewers who love youth and school romance. Especially if you want fantasy productions, a cute love adventure, and something with a predictable but happy ending, the series is just for you. If you wish, you can also watch its 2026 Japanese adaptation, The Boy Next World: My Destiny.
Phukan is a self-contained university student who doesn’t have a lover. He spends his calm life in the student apartment where he lives alone. However, everything changes with a mysterious event that happens suddenly on a rainy night. That night, someone mysterious from another universe—Cirrus—steps into his world. When Cir is taken to the hospital after getting involved in a fight, he begins to see different visions from his own universe. In these visions, Phu is his lover. But they haven’t even met in this universe. I want to add here immediately that the 2026 Japanese adaptation also has the rainy weather theme and the injury/hospital details.
The paths of Phu and Cir cross for the first time in this universe. Cir is one of the popular students at the school. While he attracts attention in every environment he enters, he tries to get Phu’s attention to win back his lover from the other universe. Meanwhile, he is determined to solve both his own reality and the mystery of his transition between universes. In the Japanese adaptation, love is more prominent and a bit more unquestioned rather than solving the mystery.
BL stories set in parallel universes in series are actually not an unfamiliar theme for this genre. Sometimes beautiful stories do emerge. However, since the fantasy-themed multiverse concept lacks a scientific background, you just need to focus on romance and character chemistry. In terms of acting, dialogue, and use of locations, I can say it is a complete cliché within the usual Thai BL molds.
The comedy dose is just right. Sometimes they can miss the comedy mark and present us with an unserious, noisy boys’ love. If you have decided to watch the series, your focus should be more on romance and the love that starts in a mysterious atmosphere. As you already know, when it comes to Thai BL dramas, the actors and romance come before the plot and content.
There is a tasteful romance where the emotional transitions are not too sharp. But processing the parallel universe theme on a love basis without being scientific ensures that the audience fully focuses on romance. It appeals especially to viewers who love youth and romantic dramas of the BL genre. While watching this fragile bond between universes of Phu and Cir, a story emerges that can make you think that love is not bound only to a time or place. My impressions are positive.
Especially if we focus on the themes of identity and belonging, Cir declares that love is the winning side in every universe and every reality. Their distant relationship turns into true love over time. Overall, it has a consistent story. The chemistry and harmony of the actors will also offer a smooth viewing experience. However, the finale is exactly as everyone would guess.
Khemjira – เขมจิราต้องรอด
Get ready for a supernatural BL story about past lives, reckonings, the rebirth of a pure soul, and uniting hearts.
The Thai BL drama series Khemjira (2025) deals with themes of ghosts, reckonings from the past, and reincarnation. While struggling with the curse of seeing ghosts, Khem discovers his connection in the past and his true love. His relationship with Peem is tested by evil spirits from the past and suspenseful events.
Khemjira is a BL series dealing with supernatural and ghost themes. Familiar tropes like taking revenge from the past and rebirth in a male body are explored. Nevertheless, it managed to enter the list of the most watched series of 2025.

Revamp the Undead Story – แวมไพร์เดอะอันเดดสตอรี่
A vampire returning to life years later falls in love with his hunter. Only love can end the war. It will be a magnificent story for those who love vampire-themed BLs.
Punn reunites with his brother after 10 years and investigates the mystery behind his family’s death. While working in an art house, Punn meets the vampire Ramil emerging from a painting, and a romance begins between them. However, Punn’s true identity and the presence of vampire hunter Jett endanger their love.
Revamp the Undead Story is a series that includes classic Thai BL series elements and vampire clichés. The acting is exaggerated; it is recommended for those who love supernatural and fantasy-content series.

My Magic Prophecy – ทำนายทายทัพ
My Magic Prophecy (2025) possesses the supernatural and fantastic themes that are most beloved in Thai BL series. Woven with prophecies, mysterious powers, and love stories determined by fate, this production does not merely offer a romance. It also presents a magical and mysterious atmosphere. Of course, I can say the subject is a bit of fantasy too.
Fans of “JimmySea,” the beloved duo of Thai BL series, will once again see the chemistry and harmony of the pair. For fans looking for “JimmySea” series, you can also watch the other series on the site. The duo’s other important productions are: Vice Versa (2022) and Last Twilight (2023).
In, whose parents died in a traffic accident five years ago, has lived alone since graduating from school. He spends time with his favorite friend Dao. In has the power of prophecy to see the future. He foresees the bad things that will happen to the people he comes into contact with. He is also quite famous on social media in the field of tarot reading.
Years ago, he sensed that something bad would happen to his family too, but he could not prevent it. Since that day, he has lived away from people. Except for his only friend Dao, he doesn’t have much contact with people. On graduation day, he meets a stranger who will make him see from the future again; this is an insignificant event for him.
Everything will change when Dao’s mother asks him to read her fortune. In will learn that his best friend Dao is actually the sister of the man he came into contact with at graduation and had visions about. When Dr. Thap suddenly appears before him, he is sure of who the man he saw in his dream is now.
Even though he tells Dr. Thap about this prophecy, he cannot convince him. However, an intrigue involving the hospital management solves the mystery of an attempted murder carried out to take over the hospital management. Thus, he has become a target, and a part of In’s prophecy has also come to light. What they need to do is hide until things settle down. Because they are up against a professional killer and powerful people.
They start staying at In’s parents’ house in a remote location. A relationship full of tension and disagreement begins between Dr. Thap, who is known to be gay (an openly gay man), and In. In still hasn’t overcome the traumatic effect of losing his parents years ago. And his prophecy duties make him weaker day by day.
In this environment, he will do his best both to protect Thap, whom he has begun to love deep down, and to prevent the dangers as soon as possible. A love slowly begins to blossom between the two. But the danger has not passed; Thap has also involved his trusted police friend in the matter, and a secret investigation has already begun. But how much can he trust his friends at work? Could his close colleague Kan be in on this conspiracy?
As the sexual tension between the two gay men turns into romance, dangers have also surrounded them. On the other hand, Police Inspector Ton and Dr. Pokpong have known each other since their school years. While doing their best to solve the case, the duo also slowly begin to show their feelings for each other that they have hidden for years.
Although the novel adaptation BL series will not give the desired satisfaction in terms of police procedural and crime themes, it will be a good watch for those who love a love story sprinkled into a fantastic “seeing the future” fiction. The series with themes of the supernatural and foretelling the future also processes the theme of love formed by the determination of fate, mixed with traumas. As you know, the theme of “ties of destiny” is one of the most beloved themes in Asian BL series.
In terms of character harmony and chemistry, In slowly begins to emerge from the traumatic state of mind he is in as he stays with Dr. Thap. This escape and relief offer him the opportunity to experience the love he desires. Because seeing the future of the people he communicates with is a punishment for him. But fate cannot be escaped either.
The conspiracy in the hospital and the crime committed with it cover a very small part of the series. The focus continues mostly with the closeness of the duo in the house where they are left alone, In’s fears, and his past. The bloody reckonings inside the hospital, which is the main subject, the crime that forms the backbone of the series, and the events that will endanger Dr. Thap’s life are told quite restrictively. It can be said that the series gets squeezed into the later episodes.
Crime and catching criminals are quite weak for a police procedural. The fact that a single detective investigates the entire case and that he is quite a young person is one of the weakest aspects of the series. On the other hand, there is little tension in the series. As a viewer, you will sense Doctor Kan’s intentions from the very beginning. The drama focuses more on how fate crosses the paths of two strangers and how seeing the future turns into a curse. From all this drama, a passionate BL romance is born.
The series presents classic BL clichés on the axis of love, destiny, and magic. The characters’ confrontation with both their personal identities and their magical powers will take you on an emotional journey as much as a dramatic one. But the series sometimes progresses slowly. In the episodes where the duo stays in the same house to hide, the series literally freezes. While the fantastic aspect of the series outweighs, there is again a fragile love story at its center. But the police theme and the hospital theme are quite superficial. The BL series industry always does things incompletely.
The relationships and breaking points between police detective Ton and Pokpong, which go back a long way, could have been processed in more detail as a side story in the series. I am always more curious about the secondary stories than the main story.
Shine – ชาย
Shine is an emotional BL adventure where friendship turns into love and the heart finds its own light.
Shine (2025) is a period drama set in Thailand between 1969-1971. While exploring the love and passion of gay couples amidst political turmoil and student uprisings, it tells the story of 5 gay characters caught between romance and radical views. Going beyond Thai BL clichés, the series explains social events and homosexuality within a political framework.
The series revolves around the student movement, love triangles, and political conflicts in 1970s Thailand. Even though the cinematography is weak, the character growth and music reflect the era. Especially the value of living is questioned.

That Summer – ผมเจอเจ้าชายบนชายหาด (2025)

Prince Davin suffers amnesia after being betrayed by his lover Victor and is found by Lava on an island. Lava gives Davin the name “Wave,” and an unexpected romance begins between the duo. Davin’s efforts to discover his identity and Pheng and Vut’s relationship are also other important elements of the series.
That Summer is a BL series full of love and mystery set in an island environment. The summer Lava spends with his uncle is full of character growth and schemes.

The Wicked Game – เกม รัก ลวง (2025)
The Wicked Game, as a 2025 BL series, focuses on power conflicts, political intrigues, and a love born amidst all this. The series steps completely outside the themes of university and youth romance. School-campus themed boys’ love dramas are a genre that I also approach with prejudice nowadays.
It’s not hard to guess that BL viewers are getting tired of identical productions. Although the 2025 production The Wicked Game continues with some clichés and features familiar idealized characters, this is a situation the audience is already accustomed to. You can safely add the series to your watch list. Lest I forget, if you are a fan of the “DaouOffroad” duo and especially love their chemistry and harmony, you can start the series right away. Additionally, fans can watch the series Love in Translation (2023) – Century of Love (2024) alongside The Wicked Game.
Without diving too deep, I have prepared a text just to guide you.
Pheem returns from Singapore, where he was exiled by his father, to become a partner in the hospital management. During this time, the conflicts between him and his stepbrother reignite. His stepbrother smuggles narcotics through the hospital, backed by a dirty politician. Since the audience has seen these themes before, the stepbrother and family conflict dynamics, in particular, will not feel unfamiliar.
Meanwhile, Pheem’s path crosses with former narcotics commissioner Than through an interesting coincidence. Than was dismissed from the force due to a slander thrown at him just as he was reaching a conclusion in a major operation. When his path merges with Pheem, it is revealed that the people who framed him were actually Pheem’s older brother and the corrupt politicians under his control.
Than starts working for Pheem as a bodyguard. Over time, this relationship surpasses the bodyguard-boss dynamic and turns into love. The duo starts to like each other, but Than approaches the situation with extreme suspicion. He is afraid of being used. He doesn’t trust Pheem. At this time, a new character emerges who will change the balance of power: Victor. This man is powerful and emotionally exploits Pheem. He acts like he owns Pheem. This new character temporarily pauses the trust and romance between the duo.
While the older brother Jet commits all kinds of evil for the hospital management and new government projects, the events escalate into armed conflicts. It’s not just Jet; actually, the other stepsister is not trustworthy for Pheem either. In this environment, the growing closeness between the Than and Pheem duo enters an unstable state with constant ups and downs.
In this section, there is a mini guiding review and commentary.
In the finale and upcoming episodes, you will see the “happy love” theme you desire. In all BL series, the audience doesn’t really focus on the plot flow. The focal point is mostly on the chemistry of the characters and the harmony of the “idol” couples. The idealized, idol theme I mentioned here is also valid. Although it’s not a very valid theme for me; for me, the plot flow is more important.
Returning to the series, the tension and trust issues between the duo cause the BL theme in the series to progress slowly, which I know as an audience is something you don’t like at all. For this reason, instead of a love and togetherness that is easily obtained from the beginning, you will watch a struggle, the war between right and wrong; good and evil.
Than, in particular, will want everything to be handled legitimately. For this reason, although he likes Pheem, Than maintains a distant stance, fearing being used and becoming bait for a rich family. On the other hand, the reason for his dismissal is the narcotics raids he organized against Jet. He also struggles to return to duty and take his revenge.
Pheem, on the other hand, is weak-willed and always needs someone stronger than himself; the death of his mother in a traffic accident when he was a child left deep traumas in his memory. The wealthy businessman in Singapore, in whose shadow he practically took refuge, has claimed him in every way. His relationship with Than has become difficult because of this.
The shootout scenes and cinematography are standard for a BL; after all, we are not looking at a high-budget crime thriller. There are too many effects and AI interventions, so watching the shootout scenes wasn’t enjoyable for me. Even though it’s AI work, you will see empty bullet shells in the shootouts, which is better than nothing. The near-realistic gunshots are again more realistic compared to classic crime BL dramas. Although these scenes look quite artificial, the action is not exaggerated. Even though the chemistry of the duo is very good, the audience will see a slow and cautious boys’ love instead of the crazy love scenes they want. The audience who loves passionate love and watches this series for the “romance of handsome men” might not find what they are looking for.
Other Thai BL Series Worth Watching in 2025
Besides the prominent productions, there are many more valuable series adding color to the 2025 Thai BL world. Below, you can find other notable productions of the year that you might want to add to your watch list, with their shorter summaries.
Burnout Syndrome (2025-2026)
In this BL series featuring the “GunOff” duo, the actors, now well into their 30s, step outside the school and youth themes. Jira (Gun) has lost his job, hit rock bottom, and is struggling with burnout syndrome. While trying to heal with Pheem, whom he matched with at a bar called Burnout, he meets someone new out of desperation. This man, named Ko (Off), is a tech billionaire who trusts no one, uses and throws people away, and lives a soulless, lonely life. While the bizarre new job Ko offers brings good money for Jira, it will require making a choice within a love triangle. A story of self-discovery and facing reality.

Me and Thee (2025)
Starting with the perfect chemistry of the “PhuwinPond” couple, the BL series is a romantic comedy about the coincidental encounter of Thee, stuck in his rich but sterile world, and the free-spirited photographer Peach, and the love born between them.

Mandate
Trading typical college clichés for the ruthless world of politics, Mandate (2025) offers a mature, slow-burn romance. As Dr. Nong and Wi navigate political blackmail and corrupt rivals, their bond proves that genuine loyalty is rare in a world of dirty politics.

My Golden Blood
My Golden Blood (2025) is a 12-episode fantasy BL series produced by GMMTV that combines vampire mythology and gay romance. When Tong starts university, he is drawn into the world of vampires and is in danger because of his “golden blood”. Tonkla watches over Tong as both a protector and a secret vampire, and the bond between them takes an emotional turn. As vampire clans hunt Tong down, Tonkla is torn between his loyalty and his feelings, and will be forced to make a choice that will determine Tong’s fate. A cliché yet enjoyable production for those who love the vampire theme.
The Ex-Morning
Bringing back the iconic SOTUS duo, The Ex-Morning (2025) offers a second-chance office romance. While it suffers from familiar clichés and pacing issues, watching two bitter ex-lovers confront their past mistakes makes it a decent watch for fans of the trope.
I Promise I Will Come Back
Stepping away from the glamorous and sterile settings of typical Thai BLs, I Promise I Will Come Back(2025) offers a refreshing rural romance. While the story is simple, its natural atmosphere, realistic characters, and heartfelt love triangle make it a hidden gem for those seeking genuine emotions over high-budget fan service.
Eye Contact
Leaning heavily into familiar Thai BL tropes, Eye Contact (2025) weaves two distinct campus stories: a highly cliché university love triangle centered on a hidden billionaire, and a surprisingly organic high school rivalry. While the main plot suffers from artificial chemistry and predictable revenge dynamics, the secondary enemies-to-lovers arc offers a much-needed natural charm. It is a standard, flashy watch for die-hard school romance fans, but critical viewers might find it lacking in depth.
The Bangkok Boy
If you’re expecting a sweet, non-stop romance just because of the “mafia” tag, The Bangkok Boy is definitely not for you. This series replaces cute fluff with bloody revenge, psychological warfare, and a painfully slow-burn relationship born from darkness. While the characters’ lack of willpower might frustrate you at times, it offers a gritty, trauma-heavy drama for those who are completely tired of pink-tinted, sterile BL fantasies.

Gelboys
Stepping away from the sterile, idol-centric clichés of typical BLs, Gelboys takes you to the real, crowded streets of Thailand. This youth series dives deep into social media obsession, manipulative friendships, and a fake relationship that unexpectedly turns into genuine love. If you are looking for raw psychological depth rather than shallow high school romances, this gripping story is for you.
My Stubborn
Leaning into the classic enemies-to-lovers and “friends with benefits” tropes, My Stubborn (2025) delivers a tension-filled office romance. While the unrealistic luxury settings and unnecessarily long episodes might test your patience, the fiery chemistry and stubborn bickering between Sorn and Jun make it a spicy watch for die-hard fans of the genre.
Lost in the Woods
Trading glamorous cityscapes for a remote nature park, Lost in the Woods (2025) offers a deeply psychological, slow-burn romance. If you are tired of the Thai BL industry’s fast-paced clichés and heavy makeup, this emotionally grounded series about isolation and healing is exactly what you need.
See you in the 2026 BL series…
