Revamp the Undead Story (2025) Plot and Synopsis
Punn had to part ways with his brother Pokpong 10 years ago due to the death of his parents. Both were placed with different foster families. The two brothers find each other again years later. As their relationship slowly progresses and they begin to get to know each other, they also wonder about the mysterious death of their parents.
Now that they have met, Pokpong wants to stay with his older brother. But this will not be so easy; there is a lack of communication between them. Punn is one of the best employees of an art house who repairs historical artifacts and antiques. He works independently on antique restoration. He is one of the first artists to come to mind as a very successful Restorer.
Meanwhile, a famous vampire painting is attacked. The painting is damaged. Jett, the manager and owner of the art house, will ask Punn for help to repair the painting. But the painting has a bad reputation. Stories circulate that the vampire picture in the painting is actually a real vampire and that he will one day step out of the painting. For this reason, Punn approaches the painting a bit suspiciously.
Punn goes to the art house to repair the painting, and meanwhile, a supernatural event occurs. Jett is actually not just an art house owner but a vampire hunter; there is a vampire and human war that has been going on for years. Unaware of this, Ramil has fallen purely in love with Punn.
The war has now begun between Ramil, who is a very strong vampire and the alpha ruler of his vampire family, and the vampire hunters. Punn is actually one of the vampire hunters too, and his main duty is to kill the alpha Ramil, but he cannot do this because he has fallen in love. The series uses almost all the elements found in classic Thai BL series; it’s as if the producers pressed all the buttons. I can say that the actors and locations are quite simple, sterile, and far from reality. The usual state of BL series, nothing to be surprised about. As always, the BL drama universe constantly shows its audience flawless places and luxurious lives. Again, “idol” actors with flawless facial features and bodies are among the other cliché elements in the series.
So what’s in the vampire theme? We see all the classic elements and all the clichés of vampire fiction here too. The war between prey and predator is the most active point of the series. A gay vampire goes after an artist with golden blood. You will also love the theme of falling in love with the enemy in the series. The character Punn is looking for ways to overcome both traumas from the past and revenge/hatred with love. He is an ambassador of peace…
The acting is quite exaggerated; the unnatural, aggressive acting bothered me, I don’t know about you. Since exaggeration is one of the biggest features of the BL genre anyway, we got used to this situation. For viewers who love the BL theme attached to a vampire story, the series will be a good option. But if you don’t like this theme, we can say the series is not for you.
