I am trying my best to present the most current and distinguished content of the year 2025 that you best need to watch.
Broadcasted in the year 2025, it became a multiple selection ranging from Thailand to Korea, from Japan to Taiwan BL productions. Again, I did not forget the Chinese BL series either. I gave brief and concise details for each production with its trailer, plot, and special analysis. If I have a wider review and commentary on the site, I also added the in-site links. Love in The Moonlight – สลักรักในแสงจันทร์ (Thailand)
There is a good harmony among the three main characters; the conflict between Saenkaew and Sasin is about the death of Sasin’s cousin and Saenkaew’s mother. The character Songsawat plays an important role on the path of freedom and self-existence.
In 1963, before the two principalities merge, Nanta Prince Kamsa wants to send his son Saenkaew to Thailand. Saenkaew is forced to marry Pin in Bangkok, however, since he is gay, he searches for his freedom and experiences a relationship with Pin’s cousin, Sasin. Due to their families’ legacy and social pressures, they have to hide their love.
Although the Thailand period series has a low watching quality due to limited budget and sets, the period clothes and locations are successful. While processing the themes of freedom and living oneself through the story of the young prince Saenkaew, the series focuses on political and social topics with a slow-progressing narrative.

Knock Out – หมัดน็อกล็อกหัวใจ (Thailand)
A contentious BL love blossoming inside the world of crime, revenge, and loneliness. Who will be the winner?
Brief plot and summary: Knock Out: Keen, who falls into a difficult situation to pay his father’s debts, finds himself in the world of boxing and betting thanks to the young Than he meets. He uses his practical mind to earn money and pay his debts.
He will find new matches for Than, who has a mysterious past, is not very talkative, hasn’t done a match for a long time, and uses the boxing club almost like a hiding place. A romance growing inside crime and violence. Although there are BL clichés, it is an average production as a novel adaptation for those who love this theme.
The Bangkok Boy – บางกอกบอย (Thailand)
Again a crime and mafia story. The love of two youths developing under the shadow of guns, who want to change everything amidst conflicts, power struggles, and revenge.
Briefly plot and summary: Sun, setting off with a quest for revenge in Bangkok’s underworld, gets stuck between love and bloody reckonings when he meets Peace. Again, a boys’ love romance taking place in the world of crime and mafia. The audience will wait a bit to see the BL love; the romance progresses quite slowly.
The series is the drama of two youths who unintentionally leave their dreams behind, drown in their fathers’ dirty works, and are forcibly involved in the evils of the crime world. While a need felt for a clean life takes place on one hand, love is on one side, and the feeling of revenge is on the other.

FC Soldout – FC 솔드아웃 (South Korea K-BL)
The contentious story of a sports club being sold and two friends meeting again years later. A Korean BL series in the taste of romantic comedy: Love Starts on the Field
Plot summary: FC Soldout offers a BL story extending from the football field to the heart of love. Old feelings, fake images, and real passions unite in a team. For those who love the sports theme, a romantic comedy. In the boys’ love series, two old friends who studied high school together and whose paths separated later meet again in a sports club.
One is the player of an unsuccessful sports club, and the other is a famous but washed-up player who needs advertisement. This time our country is South Korea.

A bitter-sweet drama processing high school students’ gay identity searches, life perspectives, and social and family problems.
A brief plot summary of the series: The Thailand 2025 production BL youth drama focuses on high school youths’ identity searches and social media addictions. Youth mistakes made to be popular, to stand out more, and to be different, and complex love relationships are among the most remarkable themes of the series.
The series is 7 episodes. The series presents the emotional complexities at the end of the high school and adolescence period quite successfully. Cinematography and naturalness are very good. In the series, you can see real Thailand streets and real people, alleyways, street vendors, and urban life. In this respect, the series separates from other fancy BL dramas.
Secret Relationships – 비밀 사이 (South Korea K-BL)
A minimalist, emotional series. The story of overcoming past regrets and experiences, becoming a new person, and losing one’s heart to someone. 💙
The plot and brief summary of the BL series: With its unique narration for South Korean productions, the 8-episode series reflects the emotions stuck inside a love triangle starting with office friendship to its audience. The series offers content not just as romance and gay love theme, but in a style shifting a bit from BL to ML.
The complexity of suppressed emotions and regrets coming from the past affect both the professional lives and emotions of the lovers. If you love the theme of love in the office, love triangle, and a romance based on the past, this series is for you, watch it. You will love it.
Top Form – กอดกันมั้ย นายตัวท็อป (Thailand)
A gay love story narrating a struggle of identity and existence rather than a love story developing in the harsh and ruthless world of the acting scene.
The plot and brief summary of the BL series: Highly probable you have watched many BLs with an “acting” theme. Still, we added it to the list. Top Form (2025) is a Thailand-made BL series focusing on a love hidden behind stage lights and the ruthless face of the acting world.
Adapted from Sakurabi Hashigo’s manga, this emotional story brings the striking journey of Jin and Akin, who are stuck between being famous and remaining authentic, to the screen. While the conflict between the duo turns into understanding and love over time, this time producers and confidentiality will challenge their feelings.
When It Rains, It Pours (2025) – ふったらどしゃぶり (Japan, J-BL)
A love starting by accident. A story starting with complex and ambiguous emotions. A story of finding oneself and accepting one’s identity.
Brief plot: A minimalist, plain series made in Japan that will not tire you. Futtara Doshaburi is a Japanese-made BL drama focusing on a relationship starting with an ordinary e-mail and leaving deep traces in the lives of two lonely men.
Blossoming under the rain, this story draws its audience into a silent but emotional world. The drama also carries tags like work friendship and fashion design. We added this series to the list for you too. Give it a try.
Sweetheart Service – 스윗하特서비스 (South Korea, K-BL Drama)
Yu Ha, who provides a paid lover service, will play the role of a lover for a gay person who does not want to marry. However, the role turns into reality.
Are you in favor of simplicity? Are you bored with Thailand’s fancy and cliché-filled BL dramas? How about a simpler fiction? “In contrast to his family forcing him to marry, Min U hires a male stunt double; the double Yu Ha and Min U slowly fall into real love.”
It is not a very ambitious drama, but we added this production to the list for the audience who loves simplicity and wants a snack-like series that will end in a few days.
My Golden Blood – เลือดนายลมหายใจฉัน (Thailand)
The world of vampires, the most precious blood… A gay love story developing in this environment. It will offer an unmissable viewing for the BL audience who loves the vampire theme.
The plot of the BL drama: My Golden Blood (2025) is a Thailand BL series. The series appears before the audience with the boy’s love universe’s most favorite theme, the “gay vampires” theme, mixed with romance and suspense. The GMMTV original production drama is 12 episodes.

The plot of the BL drama: Romantic comedy-weighted 2025 production youth-themed BL series will offer a 12-episode viewing. The drama focuses on the passionate loves among high school friends, the breaking points and disagreements they experience with their families. In addition, the personality developments of the youths and discovering themselves, developing their friendships, and love adventures are also worth watching.
The bright and pastel-toned shootings in the series come with a good subtext. Again, there is a different subject of love along with a sweet rivalry and bickering among teachers too.
10 Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 40 – 40までにしたい10のこと (Japan)
