Spare Me Your Mercy is a 2024 Thai BL series. The production is a crime and medical thriller. If you like the themes of crime and intrigues taking place in a hospital, you should watch the series. Again, there is also a psychological depth in the series. I found the series watchable. It’s not too bad.
Continuing with a micro summary. The story starts with murder investigations. Meanwhile, feelings and passions oscillating amidst suspicion will proceed in complete uncertainty. It starts with a series of suspicious death cases. A relationship mixed with romance begins between police officer Thiu, working on the case, and doctor Kant, the suspect of the events. Even though the investigation starts, crime, mercy, love, romance all get mixed up. Thiu tries to understand where ethical rules begin and end, and actually the psychology beneath the murders. On the other hand, things get thoroughly complicated as the romance between the duo turns into love.
As I said, if you are bored with the standard BL theme, you can watch it. Now I have my criticisms and comments. Let’s begin.

Spare Me Your Mercy (2024) | Plot and Synopsis, Review
Police captain Thiu, when his mother’s cancer progresses, leaves his duty in the city and comes to a small town, to his mother. However, the course of the disease accelerates, and his mother loses her life in a short time. The last person to see her is Kant, the handsome and mysterious doctor of the town. Even though it seems like an ordinary death at first glance, other cancer patients who died in a similar way and an unknown drug administered to their bodies make the incident complex.
Meanwhile, Thiu will suspect doctor Kant. While the duo gets caught in each other’s charm and experiences romantic moments, on the other hand, they engage in a cat-and-mouse game. You will love this theme; there is a harsh romance within the suspense. I liked this theme.
As the police investigations deepen, all suspicions will continue to point to Doctor Kant. This time Kant seems cornered. However, Kant starts to play with Thiu’s feelings during the interrogation process. The psychological theme here is again suitable for the dark structure of the series. Does Kant establish closeness because he really likes Thiu, or is this a manipulation? You will also look for the answer to this question. Thiu, on the other hand, both feels an emotional closeness to Kant and experiences a mental deadlock in the face of the possibility of him being a killer. The series has a story oscillating between these two opposite forces. I think this theme is quite good.
Not only Thiu and Kant’s relationship in the story, but the dark bonds passing between the hospital director and the pharmacist are also added into the same crime theme. While watching the secondary themes, they will relieve you a bit from the burden of the main theme. You will also see in the later episodes that the complex web of relationships hiding the real culprit means the events are much deeper than they appear. You will slowly solve the murder mystery and the psychology behind the crime, but this is a BL and the important thing is love, isn’t it?
Critical Aspects – Mini Review
Even though an atmosphere similar to European-made crime series was tried to be created, Spare Me Your Mercy, in my opinion, carries many structural weaknesses. Or I kept my expectations at a high level. The acting and the emotional development of the characters are good according to the BL standard. The psychological tension of the duo and the romantic tension are exactly as they should be. The fragile sides and intersecting expectations of both complement each other. The acting performance sometimes seems to drop to the level of a university romance. But still, it is not bad.
Visually, it is good for a thriller BL series. Some scenes are very simple, there is no depth. But it is not a bad series. You can watch it. If I write very briefly and basically. The chemistry of the duo in the series and their psychological effects on each other offer a good watch. The duo is harmonious.
- JJ Krissanapoom Pibulsonggram — Thiu (Police): He is a police officer investigating murder cases, with strong intuition and obsessed with details. Beneath his cold-blooded appearance, he carries a deep sense of mercy, and while his sense of justice forces him to reach the truth, he experiences dilemmas. While trying to catch Kant, he also cannot control his feelings for him.
- Tor Thanapob Leeratanakachorn — Kant (Doctor): He hides a complex and dark character committing murders behind the identity of a respected doctor. He rewrites the concepts of death, mercy, and salvation with his own moral understanding. The relationship he established with Thiu strips away from the tension between hunter and prey and turns into a romantic relationship. You will love this transformation in the series. These conflicts of the characters make the series watchable. The crime theme stays in the second place.
