I wanted to start with what Triage (2022) will offer you as a Thai BL Series. There is a fantastic time loop and a crime and love story stuck in this loop. I know you have watched BL themed around time travel and time loops in general before; it is increasingly becoming a cliché on this subject.
There is a hospital environment in the series. Again, there is a story woven with tragic losses, a doctor trying to pass through time, and a love that grows a little more in every loop. Even though there is a medical drama, romance, and suspense, there is no sci-fi theme where you will understand the reason for the time loops. In my opinion, sci-fi has no place in a BL anyway. I also recommend the production Manner of Death (2020-2021), sharing the same universe, a hospital, doctor, and crime-themed thriller. If you like dark BL stories themed around doctors and murders, you should also definitely check out the Spare Me Your Mercy (2024) series.

Triage, 2022 Thai BL Series Plot and Synopsis
Young doctor Tin, interning in the emergency room, cannot save two patients brought in after a traffic accident – 22-year-old university student Tol and another victim. This failure will open a deep wound both professionally and in his conscience. However, the events do not end here. After this point, you will find yourself in a time loop. Tin falls asleep in the break room on a night shift and wakes up to realize he is living the same day again.
Every time Tin wakes up, he sees the accident repeating and the same people dying. A mysterious man named Jinta tells him that he is stuck in a time loop and must keep Tol alive to escape the loop.
However, every attempt fails. While Tin cannot figure out what he is doing wrong, he starts trying different paths within the loop: He goes to Tol’s school, meets him, and becomes friends. In this process, he begins to fall in love with Tol.

Tin and Tol start to get to know each other better in every loop. Tin’s disciplined and professional attitude and Tol’s emotional and vulnerable nature will allow them to complement each other in moments of crisis. The time loop will force the duo to work together and trust each other. While trying to save Tol, Tin will also face his own feelings of anger and guilt. Tol, on the other hand, struggles with both family pressure and alcohol addiction. The repetitions in the time loop will strengthen the emotional bonds of the duo, and finally, the loop will be broken.
In the later episodes, Tin will change the time interval of the loop. He will act within a wide time loop going further back and further forward in time. The time loop actually does not just mean saving someone. Tin not only changes the flow of time but also struggles for Tol to fix his life and realize his mistakes
While things get complicated, Tin will go to the past, that is, two weeks ago. This situation turns into a time travel rather than a time loop. Thus, he will also understand why he could not solve the first loop.

Organ trafficking in the hospital, illegal operations, and the dark relationships around Tol are actually the main problems that need to be solved in this loop. Romance and love between the duo will sometimes remain in the background. As the time loops repeat and deepen, Tin will no longer be just a doctor but someone fighting to save the person he loves.
Series Review and Comments
When I first watched the series, what bothered me was the inconsistency of the time loops. The time loop going back two weeks means the time travel we know. Again, the fact that the time loop starts to cover future times actually takes the series out of that closed loop.
I didn’t like that the medical details remained superficial. There are more dramatic scenes rather than medical reality. Still, it was enjoyable to watch the romantic bond, the chemistry of the two lead roles, and the layered development of feelings in each loop.
As we frequently see in Thai BL series, Triage is also quite aesthetic, with luxurious venues, and visually it seems very artificial to me. However, this “far from reality” life depiction, which I see as the chronic problem of the genre, is actually a necessity of BL series…
With the repetitions experienced throughout the loop, you will watch Tin’s interest in Tol slowly emerging. Tol will also learn to feel safe and valuable next to Tin. You will also learn about the corruption going on in the hospital and its connection with the loop in the series.

Cast and Characters
- Tae Darvid Kreepolrerk – Dr. Tin: Dr. Tin is an experienced doctor working in the emergency room. While struggling with alcohol addiction after the death of his sister, he also tries to cope with feelings of anger and guilt. While he is cold-blooded and disciplined in his professional life, he is a fragile and emotionally wounded character in his personal life. When his paths cross with Tol, he goes through both professional and emotional tests.
- Tee Jaruji Phuanggate – Tol: Tol is a rich university student struggling with family pressures and alcohol addiction problems. He dies as a result of a traffic accident and repeatedly appears before Dr. Tin during the time loop he experiences. While Dr. Tin tries to save Tol, a strong bond will form between the duo. Tol’s open and emotional nature balances Dr. Tin’s introverted and controlling nature.
