Charn, the main character of the series, while once a lawyer with ideals, corrupts over the years and becomes a man who conducts the dirty business of Thatthep, one of the most influential politicians in the country. Thinking that the law works on the side of the powerful, Charn believes that real justice is only possible with power.
However, in his past memories with his grandmother, there is a Charn who thought differently, believing in the pure form of justice. The reason for this change is treated as an important mystery to be solved step by step in the series.
Thatthep’s wealthy and reckless son causes the death of a young girl in a traffic accident. While Charn was going to defend Thatthep first in this case, he unexpectedly gets close to Tinn, the lawyer for the victim’s side, and switches sides. This sudden shift is the harbinger of both a professional and personal transformation. However, Tinn is suspicious of this man with a dark past. Despite everything, there is an invisible attraction between the duo.

Beginning: The series takes place in the shadow of charismatic lawyer Charn’s career filled with high-profile cases. Charn, who is successful but whose moral line is blurred, one day confronts young and determined Tinn as his client in a mysterious murder case. The relationship between Charn and Tinn relies on the balance of power and vulnerability. While Charn is a character who wants to hold control but is emotionally exhausted, Tinn is someone who is honest, determined in search of justice, and sincere. Thatthep and his son Thaenthai represent the dark face of the system; they are external forces that provoke the development of Charn and Tinn. While making the audience think with fundamental questions such as “Does power create justice?”, “Does law work without cheating?”, the series presents the conflict between ethics and pragmatism in the meeting of two opposing characters. When Charn’s harsh and calculating attitudes come together with Tinn’s stance that does not stray from honesty, the tension between them is not only professional, but also emotional. However, throughout the series, BL dynamics are quite in the background. In the first five episodes, the expectation of a love development or a passionate romance in the classic sense is not met.
Is the series worth watching? The acting is generally successful. The actor who gives life to the character Charn carries the weight of the role well; the inner conflicts of the actor in the role of Tinn are believable. Only the character Thaenthai can be distracting at times with his acting that becomes caricatured. Cinematography and scene transitions are above average among Thai series.
When looking at the series only as BL, it may not fully meet the expectation. However, for those who want to watch an in-depth story, a strong dramatic structure, and a law-based struggle, Laws of Attraction can be a successful example of transition between genres. Standing at a different place in the Thai BL catalog, this production is worth watching for viewers who want to push the boundaries of the genre.
