To My Shore (2025-2026) is a Chinese BL series that revolves around the meaningless and absurd ambitions of a man who cannot overcome his past traumas. Revenge, betrayal—you name it, it’s there. If you are exhausted by the repetitive, copy-paste factory content of Thai BL productions, or the plotless, flatly meaningless South Korean series, you can give this show a chance. It brings you dark revenge and emotions caught in purgatory.
The series tackles the ambition, vindictiveness, and obsessive ego of an indecisive man unable to escape his traumatic history. Deep themes of love and psychological thriller await you.

Plot and Synopsis: To My Shore (吾岸)
The story kicks off with a new agreement for pharmaceutical manufacturer Fan Xiao and his team to explore new markets. Their new partner—or rather, Fan Xiao’s fresh obsession—is You Shu Lang, the manager of a rival pharmaceutical firm. Manager Shu is someone who keeps his gay identity strictly under wraps, living secretly with his lover Lu Zhen.
Driven by his past traumas, sheer ruthlessness, and a scheming personality, Fan Xiao decides to play a wicked game to destroy both You Shu Lang and his company. He doesn’t even know why he’s doing it. By manipulating Lu Zhen, he successfully tears the couple apart. The board is now set for his own game.
Fan Xiao and You Shu Lang eventually become lovers. As they spend time together, Fan Xiao continues his dark schemes. Is what’s brewing inside him truly love, a thirst for revenge, or just senseless malice? Even he cannot answer that. Yet, his initial desire was simply to strip Manager Shu of his lover and abandon him.

In this tension-filled relationship where psychological superiority constantly shifts hands, Zhen Zhen intervenes and brings everything to light. All the dirty games are exposed. But the story doesn’t end there. Even though everyone goes their separate ways, Fan Xiao hasn’t given up. His obsessive and dark personality simply won’t let go of You Shu Lang. You Shu Lang, who quits his job and starts working as an R&D manager at a new firm, thinks he has distanced himself from the chaos—but he is gravely mistaken.
This series will serve you heavy psychological tension. It genuinely deserves a chance.
Review: Is It Worth Watching?
Yes, absolutely. If you are bored with the predictable, unoriginal, mass-produced content of Thai productions, this Chinese BL might just catch your attention. It is a rare production that actually managed to slip through the heavy censorship of the Chinese government. Similarly, if the superficial and minimalist BL series of South Korea no longer offer you anything fresh, To My Shore will intrigue you.
The drama offers a passionate, slow-burn love. This isn’t a Thai BL played by overly cute, flawless boys. If you prefer to focus on the psychological conflicts of the characters rather than the “sweetness” of the actors, this series is custom-tailored for you. Specifically, is Fan Xiao—a man crippled by his past—a good person deep down, or is he pure evil? Is he struggling to accept his own gay identity, or has he targeted You Shu Lang (someone he had no prior acquaintance with) out of sheer, unadulterated hatred?
The pacing of the drama is undeniably slow. However, the dynamics of betrayal, self-discovery, and loyalty among the trio are incredibly strong. The psychological dead-ends, complex emotions, and the eerie nature of an obsessive man’s ego—torn between genuine feelings and artificial, traumatic conflicts—are highly compelling.

Of course, the exaggerated makeup typical of BL series shot in isolated environments is present here as well. The fact that the actors look as impossibly smooth as AI-generated plastic dolls will somewhat affect your viewing pleasure. The low tempo might even make you want to hit the fast-forward button occasionally.
