Melody of Secrets BL Series Synopsis and Plot
At the center of events developing around a murder, the life of Botphleng (Book Kasidet Plookphol), who lost his memory in a traffic accident 10 years ago, is about to change. He lost his ex-boyfriend around almost the same time. He cannot even remember the death of his lover. He works as a journalist; therefore, he is a curious person.
His ex-boyfriend’s brother approaches Botphleng by taking his brother’s place. Force Jiratchapong Srisang “Tan” cannot play the role of the ex-boyfriend for too long. It is soon revealed that he took his brother’s place. He begins to examine the inconsistencies in his brother’s death within the context of the newly committed murder.
As the police events continue, it is only a matter of time before they solve the mysteries behind the amnesia. Did Botphleng lose his memory intentionally? Is there a secret that his family and grandmother are hiding? The duo, who chase after all the questions, will start to like each other. As love slowly blossoms, is Botphleng innocent or is he the murderer of his lover? Even if the answers to these questions do not damage the trust between the duo, they have to uncover this.
Series Review and Comments
Botphleng Thayadol is almost as if he is hypnotized and conditioned. The music is like the warning sound that puts him into hypnosis. On the one hand, Tan, who wants to solve this mystery and find his brother’s killer, will decide whether he should suspect Botphleng or not, while on the other hand, he feels an attraction towards him.
Since the drama steps a bit outside the relationship dynamic in Thai BL series, “ForceBook” fans will not find the passionate love they expect. Instead of a fast-developing relationship like in university and youth series, it is a slower BL sprinkled onto a crime theme. The duo, now considered to be in their 30s, seems to come together more maturely and outside of youth themes.
Even though the conspiracy, mystery, and crime themes are noteworthy, the detective theme is weak as always. When the acting focuses on blank and expressionless faces, it will feel very bland. The audience will definitely complain about Book Kasidet Plookphol’s makeup. The series, which is not suitable for those expecting love, passion, and a romance to die for, is watchable for those who want to step outside the Thai BL series dynamics, even if just a little. It must also be said that the Thai BL industry, which can no longer produce original stories, is in a bottleneck.
